The Napa Valley College campus sits on 160 areas with views overlooking the Napa River in California. The city of Napa Valley is known for its selections of fine wineries. Many students who come to Napa Valley College do so to prepare themselves to get into various four year colleges and universities.

Students can complete several core classes or an entire two years before actually transferring to another institute to complete their bachelor or higher degree. While many students enroll in Napa Valley College for degree purposes, there are many students who enroll in specific classes to enhance their current careers or to pursue totally difference career options.

Enrollment at Napa Valley College consists of a several steps. To begin the admission process, students are required to complete an online application and to provide a current email address for future communication between themselves and various departments within the college. Those students who have taken time off between semesters and are considered returning students must submit the necessary form to get back into school.

Students interested in re-admittance, must complete an official form to be readmitted back into school if they have been out of school for three or more years. The necessary form to be completed is called a Statement of Legal Residence.

Returning students can find the Statement of Legal Residence on line; however, the actual form must be returned directly to the Admissions and Record Department. New and returning students interested in financial aid will need to complete an online FASA application. The FASA application is free to all students and must be completed for the college to determine what financial aid the student qualifies for.

Students can major in a number of majors at Napa Valley College including Art History, Graphic Design, Music Theater, Humanities and Philosophy, Management and Business, Music, Psychology, Social Behavioral and much more. Napa Valley College also has various certificate programs for students interested in Computer Networking, Business Software, Real Estate, Child and Family Studies, Entrepreneurial and more. The programs offered at Napa Valley College are Associate degree level; however, interested students can continue their education advancement by transferring to four year institutions.

Napa Valley College also has an on-site career center to help students with education goals and career planning. The career center benefits both students and local employers. The career center assists students with resume writing and interview techniques. Also, prospective employers can post available openings online for students to view as well as participate with campus job fairs. Prospective employers can also use the on-site career center to interview students for various job openings. The career center’s services are also available to Napa Valley College alumni as well.

Napa Valley College makes tuition reasonably affordable for their students. Enrollment fees for California residents are $26.00 per unit and $193 per unit for non California residents, which includes international students. Students are also required to pay additional fees for health insurance, accident insurance, auditing, parking and student representation. To assist with school cost, Napa Valley College participates in various forms of financial aid.

The school offers scholarships, grants, federal student loans and federal work study jobs. The federal work study program provides part-time jobs that can be done on campus. There are also off campus jobs that can help students pay for their tuition. Student can qualify to win $1,000 to go towards school cost by attending a Cash for College workshop and completing the FASA application. Additional scholarships are available for Native American students and low income students as well.

Napa Valley College doesn’t just offer a great academic program but they have been able to provide a quality athletic program for their students as well. Students participate in such sports as volley ball, men and women basketball, men soccer, softball and baseball. Napa Valley coaches and academic staff have been able to work together to assure that students are successful in both.
